  • 'Working a project manager within Seaway 7 gives me a lot of interesting challenges within different disciplines. I love to be part of developing something new such as prototype equipment and operations. I manage to learn something new every day. My role creates lots of opportunities for interaction with different departments and can involve both the foundations and WTG side of the offshore wind T&I business. I joined the company in November 2020, with 10 years’ experience within offshore wind as Lead Engineer and Project Manager at a wind turbine installation contractor, and experience from oil and gas before that.'

  • With a background in geophysics, survey management, business development and tendering, I jumped at the chance to bring all of my skills together in one role and see the difference I can make. I am hugely enthusiastic about the offshore renewables industry. The recent merger between OHT and Seaway 7 is a huge opportunity for me to bring even more of my experience to the wider offering that our new company brings to market. It is an honour to be working with such an innovative and progressive team, to develop, build, deliver and operate some of the world’s largest state-of-the-art renewables installation vessels.

  • Being an engineer, working in the fast-developing offshore wind industry - where everything keeps getting higher, bigger, and heavier - is incredibly rewarding. Every day I get to work with large and highly specialized equipment such as jack-ups, offshore heavy lift cranes, and the latest generation offshore wind technology. I am responsible for WTG engineering at Seaway 7 and take the lead through all engineering stages. I work in the back-office developing the team, processes, and new concepts - contributing to the offshore wind T&I projects from start to finish. I thrive on solving the numerous challenges that arise throughout the process. Most of all I enjoy working towards a common goal with solution-orientated and dedicated on- and off-shore colleagues, suppliers, and clients.
    Camilla Verner Klejs
    Engineering Manager, WTG

The versatile combination of office and offshore work allows me to broaden my knowledge and develop as a professional."

  • "What’s exciting about my current role is that one day I’m in London meeting with one of our clients and the following week I’m in the United States on deck, in full PPE, leading a mobilisation of a vessel. It’s great working in an environment with so much diversity and meeting so many people from all over the world. In order to keep delivering high quality projects to our clients, we motivate and invest in new employees onshore and offshore to strengthen the Seaway 7 team where the reward for commitment is great opportunities and new challenges."
